Modern day bible.
Lovely read but I prefer longer books. This is something you pick up, read 10 pages every day and you finish in a week. You will come back to passages, highlight your favourite sentences.

This book appeared to me in 2017 from a close friend's mum. I remember reading it under the influence of psychedelics and it was quite moving. Seven years later, a new close friend recommended me to read the text. Here I am.

I believe I should read a page from The Prophet every few weeks, months, or at least every few years. I still do not understand many proponenets, however some passages spoke to me. Passages on love, marriage, children, work, houses, freedom, reason and passion, friendship, talking, beauty, and death, I found all very moving. I want to meditate on these particular passages and understand them on deeper levels.

I endeavour to refer back to this life and spiritual manual in the future to help guide me through particular issues I'm struggling with, and hope this text will help me in these instances. I think YOU should read The Prophet.
