Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope of all time. The angst and bitterness thrown back and forth is my bread and butter. It is made even better when the female lead gives as good as she gets and Charisma is 100% my girl. She is self conscious and unsure but no one would ever guess what goes on in her head because she is sassy and sarcastic until her last breath.

"You have your entire life to be a jerk. Why not take tonight off?"

Blaze doesn't know what he wants, or needs for that matter. But Madden-Mills always writes the best book boyfriends. He might be full of himself but he wants to be full of Charm, even if he is the reason they're not together.

This book will have you laughing to tears one minute and then clutching your heart the next.

“I don’t know. What do we have to lose?” Only the rest of me.

Worth the read, especially since its on Kindle Unlimited. Cannot go wrong with this one.

Blaze & Charm were fire

Blaze & Charisma! I highly enjoyed this story. These two battled with expressing their emotions and letting each other in. The chemistry was off the charts with these two. At times I felt like I was intruding during their intimate moments. Blaze had insecurity and abandonment issues due to a bad upbringing, while Charm had commitment issues. I like how the story played out and how the story ended.

Oh, how there were a myriad of conflicting emotions simmering between Charisma and Blaze for a lot of this book! I understood why Blaze felt the need to end things with Charisma. Did he go about it the right way? No, although I'm pretty sure that regardless of how he went about it, she would have still ended up with her heart getting broken. No one likes being rejected, and with the insecurities that these two were already dealing with due to certain things from their past, it almost felt as if heartache was going to happen regardless. You know that saying about not knowing the value of something until you no longer have it? That's what I had in my head while reading this book. Sure, Charm and Blaze originally got together because of the physical connection, but I think that what scared both of them was the fact that the connection shifted into so much more in such a short period of time. There's a lot of one-step-forward-two-steps-back that goes on, but I cheered these two on and I just knew they were going to get their acts together. I absolutely adored Charisma and Blaze! I love you, I Hate You. Five-plus stars. ♥

“Nah, don’t tell me you’re sorry about how I grew up. If anything, it’s given me my drive. Someday I’ll prove to them and everyone in Alma that I’m not just the product of two losers. I’m going to get out of Mississippi and be someone.”
“I believe you.”

I love the love/hate relationship between these two and the chemistry is off the charts. I had so much fun reading this and definitely experienced all the angst and drama and feels as well. I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait to see what Ilsa will bring us next.

I hate football. Like, I detest it with everything that I am. I don't even turn it on for the commercials On Superbowl Sunday (well, except the time Adam Levine was on because that man is delicious). However, if this author writes it I will read it. Why? because she might as well be a sparkly unicorn.

If I was to give five stars for a book, then the storyline between these two characters would have gotten it because this fine line between love and hate between them was glorious. I felt their insecurities and their connection. I loved watching them learn that it was okay to trust. Which, is why I will even read about a football romance. However, it was all of the talk about football that made me want to walk across hot coals that prevented me from giving it the full five stars. Do I regret reading it? NEVER, because Blaze and Charisma were that good together.

I recommend this story to anyone that loves football because it would have surely been a five star from them.

Almost didn't finish this series because I didn't like the first book. Almost didn't read this book because of the horrible synopsis. But, I liked this book. Good average middle of the road college sport romance

⭐️ 5 "You Is All You Have" Stars ⭐️
I Hate You is without a doubt my new favorite book by Ilsa Madden-Mills. Just from the blurb I was so eager to dive into this story that guaranteed humour and sexiness, but it exceeded even my better hope! The author brought to life a couple with insecurities under all the bravado they show and it made this book so much more emotional!

"I'm not worthy of her. Good girls like her don't stick around with guys like me. Sure, I have a talent for football and people tell me I'm handsome, but underneath... Why would she want me?"

I adored Charisma and Blaze's relationship. There’s so much more than just cute and funny banter between them; there’s also full of heart-warming and poignant emotions! At first, it’s rocky between them after their “breakup” from months earlier and the frosty exchanges are also bursting with definite hate and underlying attraction. They gradually form a deeper bond and navigate these new feelings!

Charisma is such an amazing heroine with assurance and attitude. She likes to play the little temptress with Blaze and those moments are just so enjoyable. She’s very bubbly and made me laugh a lot, but her insecurities also had my heart breaking. Blaze also hides lots of hurt and pain behind his cocky jock exterior. He didn’t have the best upbringing and opening up his heart isn’t as easy as it could be with all the fears and worries he bears. He’s a multi-dimensional protagonist that I absolutely loved!

"He's everything I never knew I wanted. He's perfection wrapped in a dark, deep lake, and I ache to swim in those waters, to discover his secrets and let him delve into mine."

Between witty exchanges and sexy encounters, this couple had me in awe of their relationship that couldn’t have been executed in a better way. The paced was perfect for them! I Hate You is a college sports romance you don’t want to miss. Ilsa Madden-Mills captured my total attention with this novel with lots of laughing moments, but also tearful and steamy ones!

This book.... ugh. It was so much more than I expected it to be! It was beautiful! Blaze is just... perfection in a broken boy’s body. I wanted to hold him and hug him tight the whole entire time I read this book. It will be ok big guy. And Charm!!! I loved this chick. I loved her sassy mouth and her big Italian family that was all up in her business. This book threw me for a loop and I read it in one sitting, ignoring my family for the night! It gave me all the feels in such an amazing way. It broke my heart and it sewed it back up. The writing was phenomenal! This is going to be a book I reread over and over.
