I really should  not have read this when i did i cried a lot... What would you do if your suicidal girlfriend came back to life so she could banter with you for a couple more days? I'm fascinated by the alternate storyline as well and the parallel between 'Jack' the boarder and 'jack' lily's new bf. I would say this book is in the genre 'Death'.

This was a bizarre and unnerving meditation on grief while also being a time capsule of 2016. This transported me and I wasn't sure where it was going to go or what was real but I'm sure that's the point. Loved the writing.

I kept expecting this book to find itself, but never felt like it came together. Everything seemed disjointed and not in a way that caused introspection, just in a way that I found annoying.
