Too weird to read about Nathan when he was a kid in the first books

Pretty predictable sports romance. Friends to lovers. I was looking forward to reading about a grown up Nate. This book was okay but very familiar. I enjoyed catching up on the other people from past books.

This was an enjoyable and sweet story. With two very likable characters in Nathan and Mia. Who I have loved since their first appearances in The Perfect Play and Quarterback Draw respectively. And I thought they were great for each other. They certainly shared a spark. Yet you could also tell they had a solid friendship and even though the romance was on the sweeter side. It still had enough heat scattered throughout.
The Final Score also had many appearances from some of my favourite characters in this series. Including Mick and Tara and the rest of the Riley and Cassidy clans. It was also extremely low angst, easy to read and a great friends to lovers romance. That any fan of this series is sure to enjoy.

Tenía muchas ganas de leer este libro. Uno de mis problemas principales con estos libros es que los protagonistas se me quedan planos, me suele faltar información y, como ya conocíamos a los personajes de antes y ya sabíamos mucho sobre ellos, pensaba que iba a ir mejor. Bueno pues no. No me han gustado los personajes, no me he creído su relación y sinceramente me ha aburrido bastante.
Solo me falta un libro para acabar esta saga, pero me interesa más bien poco y puedo predecir que será un 2 ó 3 sobre 5, como todos los demás. A estas alturas no sé si lo leeré, la verdad.

I liked it. I had higher hopes for it, especially with the Cassidy family being included. I LOVE the Cassidy family! Each of their stories have been really good! I did love that both the hero and heroine are from Football Dynasty! This is also part of the story.... how both Nathan and Mia are trying to make it on their own, and not have others think they are riding on their father's fame.
This is a friends to lovers story and we get to see them as friends, which is great. They have a very easy going relationship and its obvious they treasure each other as friends.
I did love that we get to see what the Cassidy boys and their ladies have been up to. Reconnecting with them is like meeting up with friends after not seeing each other for a while!
Why I didn't Love it? I think this could have easily been a novella. There is a lot of repetition both in internal monologue and conversations among friends, but mostly internal monologue. I mean how many times can you state your reasons why you can't or why they shouldn't!! Jeez. It caused several eye rolling moments. If you remove all of these, you'd have a really good novella/story.
Then there is the matter of the 'struggle' or the 'cause' between the couple and its something that will make you say "Really? Seriously?" and then the make up... too easy and way to quick.
Narrators:
Tatiana Sokolov does a good job with this series. I still believe that the series would benefit from having a male narrator, as part of the narration (two narrators (duet or dual)).
Overall, this was a good read and with likable characters and steamy scenes. I'm hoping we get to see Mia and Nathan later in the series to catch up with them.
