At times a painful and heartbreaking story, but ultimately one of love for family and hope for a future different from what one was given.  
The narrator for the audio was very good.  The only thing I didn't like was the voice he used for Sean, the older brother.

This was heartbreaking and uplifting in the best of ways. An astute portrait of a family disrupted by an abusive dad. I couldn’t sleep after reading bc the book invoked a lot of childhood memories.  A feast, 90s nostalgia included. Pls check CW before reading.
