Alternating between the present and the past this thriller serves up the twists and keeps them rolling out until the very end when it is revealed why journalist Alice is being stalked and by whom. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for the arc.

well.. this was meh!!!
i was very intrigued by the plot, but it was very disappointing.
Spoiler that motive of stalking didn’t even make sense. it was mentioned that his grandmother didn’t say anything to anyone (let alone Alice) about her love for her house, then why so much hate for Alice? if she had mentioned it, maybe Alice might have reconsidered, but no! they hold a grudge against her for no reason. weird. and after all the drama, he got like 5 minutes for his revenge 🤦🏻‍♀️

and many things were mentioned which were irrelevant to the plot. the boy past story was sad. i wish nothing but best for all the children.

and as for the characters, i only liked Matthew! Alice was very unlikeable. everyone kept telling her to be careful, but she was like 'nahhhh, i won’t, i have to write a story based on my trauma' 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thanks Teresa Driscoll and Netgalley for the advanced reader's copy!!

From the very first chapter, I knew I was going to like this book. As always, the writing style is pretty smooth, love the chapter/character even those that went back to the past. I kept going back and forth imagining who "HIM" was...and how it was all going to unfold.

Once again, another good book by Mrs Driscoll! I look forward to the next one.

** Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with the digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review **

I enjoyed it, but the twist didn’t shock me as much as I hoped. An interesting story though!

When I read the very first sentence in I WILL MAKE YOU PAY, the horror of it sent my imagination into overdrive. Did it really say that? A couple of pages later I had to go back and read it again to confirm that I had indeed read it correctly. I had.

Teresa Driscoll drops you into the action and makes you want to know how things will turn out. She allots chapters to her main characters allowing them to tell their story before, and now. It is as if each of these chapters ends on a cliffhanger, and you will absolutely want to stick around for its resolution.

Driscoll does an excellent job of leading her reader down the proverbial garden path. There are clues that will seem to point in a particular direction, but I guarantee that you won't know the identity of the culprit until the very end.

This is the second book by Teresa Driscoll that I have read, and I can say unequivocally that I will be reading more of her work.
