Minor: Cancer and Death of parent
Samir’s father died when he was little and his mother battled cancer but survived. Both of these situations are mentioned a few times, but nothing too graphic. In the content warnings summary it says ‘animal death’, but no animal actually dies on the page. There is a possum who pretends to die multiple times, but does not die for real.victoria29's review

This book was great! I didn't love and adore it with the same intensity as the first two books in the collection, but it was still a fun read. I especially love the TROPES. I think Pinky and Samir just aren't as compelling to me as Dimple/Rishi or Ashish/Sweetie, which makes sense because I don't think they're meant to be as likeable as those other characters. Also, even though it totally made me cry for a third time in a row, I'm a bit tired of the female protagonist having a strained relationship with her mother being a major plot point.
Moderate: Cancer
Minor: Death of parent, Toxic relationship, and Animal death

Sandhya Menon is a gifted YA Rom-Com writer! She drew me into the story immediately with dynamic characters and easy banter. This book perfectly balances the dark and difficult moments with the sweet surprises and tender escapes. It was refreshing to read and I adored the characters and their storylines. Samir was my absolute favorite but I also loved Pinky, Dolly, and Drama Queen. Pinky's mom and dad were great and even the side characters were written in a way that made them unique and multi-dimensional.
I loved the depictions of the family and friends and how each of them wove into the story. That plus the location, especially the descriptions of the lake and butterfly habitat, made a warm story. I thought the Fake Dating trope was well done in a way that showed growth for each person.
I would totally recommend this to anyone who like cozy romances.
