Royally Yours is the fourth book in the Royally series by the fabulous and talented Emma Chase. I love this series and these characters. The writing is so damn good and so full of emotion. This is my favorite book of Emma's and that's saying a lot! Royally Yours is the Queen's story. I love the Queen. She's strong, intriguing and I knew her story was going to be fantastic. Royally Yours is the story I didn't know I needed until I started it. We already know how things ended but now we get to see how they began. Lenora was raised to be the first Queen of Wessco and she's crowned at nineteen. She's smart as a whip, commanding, pretty, tough and a born leader. But she's not married. It's not something she wants but to rule the country it seems to be necessary. Edward left his title and his home years ago to live, travel and have adventures. When he's called home for his family, he meets Lenora, or Lenny as he calls her, and he ends up staying because of a promise. Marry the Queen? Stay in Wessco and serve her and the country? Sure, why not. There's something about this girl that calls to him. She's beautiful, but she's a ruler and he can't stop thinking about her. He wants to see her smile her real smile and laugh her genuine laugh. Together they learn things about each other and build on their chemistry. It's more than physical. Their connection goes down into their souls. She lets her hair down for Edward and he devotes himself to his Queen. They grow together. Laugh together. Live an adventure together. It's not always easy but they are a team. Trust is earned. Love is everything. Together they rule the country, their family and their legacy. I feel like I need to repeat that I didn't even know I needed this story in my life until I started reading it. I adored it. Loved every word. Lenora and Edward made me laugh, cry, smile, cheer and cry some more. At one point I was smiling while tears were streaming down my face. Knowing how their story ultimately ends made me sad, but watching it start, grow and flourish made me so incredibly happy. Thank you for filling my heart, Emma!

"That smile. I'll call it…your giddy, girlish smile. Very, very nice."
And just like that, my knees go squishy, and my stomach contracts, and I feel like I may just pass right out. Swooning is real…and it's rather brilliant too.

"Do you want more?" Edward asks against my lips.
"Yes," I breathe out. "Teach me." He looks down at me, his green eyes dark, almost black with hunger.
"Open your mouth for me. Give me your tongue, Lenora."

I loved the first books in this series, so a chance to go back and kind of find out where it all began was a bonus that I was very excited to read! I always love when a favorite series goes back in time to share some of the older characters' back stories. And that's exactly what we got here. This book was so hard to put down. I started reading it only 2 days before I had to post the review, but it wasn't really a problem. Once I picked it up, I was sucked into Lenora's story, and when I did have to put it down for some reason, I was shocked at how far I'd gone.

Obviously the sexual part of the relationship was a little different in this one since it was set in a different time period, a historical time period where premarital sex was definitely a no-no for a Queen. That doesn't mean she was a prude, or that there was no steamy bits before the wedding. Which is good, because Emma Chase knows how to write a good sex scene. But this story was so much more than the romance. The family and friends and history of the country of Wessco was such a good read for those of us who are fans of the series.

The time period made for something that would have been expected for a single female ruler, that she must be married in order to be taken seriously. Queen Lenora's younger sister Miriam's wild escapades made it so that Lenora had to actually consider it sooner than she'd planned, and then the actual turnout of said escapades made the whole situation so frustrating. Both things that I was so angry with and for Lenora about.

And then, without giving anything away, let me say that the loss of one character in the story had me in tears. This wasn't a character we had experiences with from the earlier books in the series. But that didn't matter. I still had tears in my eyes, and streaming down my cheeks as I read that part of the story.

Once we did get to the romance and steamy bits, I was definitely pleased with how the author handled the time period and our characters. I loved meeting characters from the earlier books as they phased into the palace, like Fergus, the grumpy butler! There were several little epilogue parts that i adored as well, each extra moment we were given with Queen Lenora and Prince Edward. While I think I'd love to follow the next generation, knowing what will happen with their son already from reading the first two books makes it so that I don't know if it would be a very good story. Probably would be sobbing like a baby at the end if I read and fell in love with those characters the way I did with this book's characters, as well as the other earlier characters.

A great addition to the series. Yes, it can be a standalone, and yes, it could be read before the first three. But I suggest you go back and read all three in order and then pick this one up. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I thought i wont read this one bc its kinda weird for me to read granny that we know in 3 other books being so young and 'do' his man but little do i know this become my favorite book for this series.

Beautifully written and i cried in every pages remembering Edward will passed away while The Queen will seeks for his comfort by talking to his painting, and their beloved son's gonna passed in a plane crash leaving The Queen with 2 grandsons. Boy oh boy she went through a lot. The strong, perfect queen indeed.

Overall i really love this book. It warms my heart and very light to read so i dont have to stressing out over a book when real life is stressful enough. 5 stars all around ❤

What an absolutely epic, beautiful love story. My heart feels so full! I adored every single thing about this, every detail and connection. It was filled with a wonderful mix of humor, emotion, and love, and it was brilliantly executed. Amazing read!

This was such a heartfelt story, I was either smiling from the wonderful humor or trying not to cry from all the amazing moments that take place. I loved learning every single thing about Lenora. I already adored her as the strong, older queen she was in the other books but learning her history, of how she truly became to be was wonderful. Such a sweet girl full of sass who has to take on a very serious role. There was just so much feeling and emotion behind it all, some of it felt absolutely crushing and devastating. But it's these things and moments that form who Lenora is. As for Edward, he was the definition of swoon-worthy. I loved how sexy and confident he was. I loved his devotion to his brother and what he'd do for him. I loved him opening up to Leonora and challenging her and being her champion. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved watching them ignite. Lenora was so inexperienced but watching that playful heat between them build was awesome. I loved those steamy and passionate times.

I loved and adored a beautiful friendship that Lenora formed in her youth and how it played out into adulthood. It just felt so poignant and real. I like how her friendships and bonds form who she is. I loved the parallels of her and her sister to her grandchildren in the other books in the series. I loved the connections and characters that were introduced that play a part of the other books as well. The story is set in the 50's, a totally different time for women and I love how Lenora dealt with issues related to that time period and how she stood up for herself. Her dealing with a group of grumpy old men is priceless. The attention to detail and how the author brought it all together was amazing.

There’s emotion, humor, and a bit of drama. There are heartbreaking moments and entertaining ones. There is passion and heat and so much love. This had everything I could have wanted and so much more. Hands down Emma Chase is a favorite, go-to author for me and this is one of the best things she's ever written. Having read this series in order, I wasn't sure what to expect since I know Lenora as a much older queen. It was an absolute eye opener getting to see her younger self, the things I loved about her in previous stories kick into place and mean even more.

Lenora and Edward have a beautiful, heartfelt love story that's playful and passionate, I couldn't have asked for more. There were just so many precious things that brought this story to life. Absolute perfection!

Best book of the series. I was a little hesitant to see it was going back in time to Queen Lenora, but it is the best written, most endearing love story of the whole series. Edward is amazing and Lenora makes all women proud. If you like The Crown series on tv, this definitely has some of that feel.

This was my favorite book in the Royals Series. Now I have to go back and listen to the first three books to catch all the references from Lenora and Edward's story. Well done Emma Chase, well done.

It was soooo good!
The banter, the chemistry.... it's just the chef's kiss.

I really enjoyed the story the plot was interesting, and so was Lenora! I love when the mc is a badass character and Lenora did a pretty good job being one. I also enjoyed how Thomas loved and genuinely cared about Lenora and how he set up his brother with her but I was not prepared for his goodbye.

The relationship between Edward and Lenny was just perfect. They were so good for each other and I really liked how they started to like and love each other. And the spice tho..... it was just perfect.

I just finished reading Royally Yours by the incredible Emma Chase and I'M SO IN LOVE!!!

It was everything I didn't know I needed, I literally DEVOURED the book and stayed up till 2 a.m. reading (which I haven't done in forever)!

Queen Lenora and Prince Edward are literally my everything right now.

Ever since reading books 1-3, I've been having a hard time deciding which one is my favorite between those, I could never decide between book 1, Royally Screwed, and book 3, Royally Endowed.

Turns out, I DON'T NEED TO BE CHOOSING NO MORE! I have a new, magnificent favorite in this series and it's Royally Yours!!!

This book you guys!! Ugh, my heart!

Make sure to get it when it comes out on October 30th, you really don't want to be missing out on this one (or the whole series for that matter, if you haven't yet read it)!

Full review to come.

6 stars!!!

Royally Yours was an ENCHANTING love story. I didn't even read the blurb beforehand since you can't go wrong with Emma Chase. This book was as SURPRISING as it was ADDICTIVE. Emma KNOWS how to write a romance about royals. I couldn't get enough of Lenora and Edward. Even though this was my second read from the Royally Series, it may just be my favorite out of all of them. I feel a binge for the rest of the series coming on....

Definitely a top 2018 favorite!!!
