This is a strong and powerful read, touching and real in which any reader will be able to feel the suffering of being a mother and how difficult is to keep our little ones safe. Just let the story flow, it will absorb you from the first moment.
The worst nightmare as a parent is knowing that someone wants to hurt your children, it will eat you inside, that danger that you couldnā€™t stop hurting your ā€œlittleā€ ones. This is the story of Tess and her daughter Emma and the night someone tried to hurt her; luckily someone stopped the attack. Everything will start when Emma couldnā€™t identify the man who attacked her and the police canā€™t arrest anyone. Of course this is the worst nightmare for any woman that has been attacked, no suspects, so no arrestā€¦ this means that he can walk freely and maybe you can cross paths with him again. So when Emma arrives one night at home saying that he has seen him, her mother can not say away from it anymore. She needs to protect her daughter from the ā€œevilā€, she needs to do what the police couldnā€™t do, stop him.
The cure could prove worse than the original problem, because Tess is so obsessed with this man that she will start obsessing with him, following himā€¦ But Tess has her dark side too, she has been ā€œstalkingā€ her ex-husband and her partner and have some video cameras at her parents house. Is she really trying to protect her daughter or this man is her new ā€œobsessionā€? So many questions! You should read the book to know the answers!
I was totally glued on this book, maybe because I am a mother I can understand the need to protect our loved ones? But I think is not only this, the author, Tammy Cohen, makes you want to be part of the story not a mere spectator, feeling everything in your own skin.
Iā€™ll have to admit that this is the first book Iā€™ve read of Tammy Cohen, but it will not be the last! Twisted, original, touchingā€¦ what more can you say about a good book? Simply read it! Because I am sure youā€™ll Stop At Nothing till you arrive at the last page.

This book went on far to long before even half way i had figured out the ending and it still wouldn't end. Was a good idea for a book but to long winded for my taste.

I just couldnā€™t get into this book and found it hard to connect with any of the characters. The main character was just annoying so I found myself skimming through the pages. The plot itself was fine and nothing to major with the ending being at a nice pace; I just wasnā€™t excited by it.

It was a light read but I guessed the 'twist' so early on that it was just a case of reading on to see if I was right or not. I did think her way of juxtaposing short chapters in italics from an unknown character next to the ordinary chapters was a good technique to help build up the mystery. The main character was quite irritating but I did find myself caring about her daughters.

My first read by the author. As a mother I can relate to the feelings of protectiveness this story has as we are going to do everything to keep our children safe no matter what the obstacles are.
The writing was good and entertaining, but I couldnā€™t connect with the characters and some were too predictable or to overwhelming.
The story overall is good but not in my top favourites unfortunately.

I always get excited when a new Tammy Cohen pops up and this time was no different. The book description promised a gripping story and thatā€™s exactly what it is although it didnā€™t at all go the way I thought it would.

Tessā€™s teenage daughter, Emma, is the victim of an attack. Rocked to the core, things only get worse when her attacker is released, free to roam the streets. Like any mother, this does not sit well with Tessa but her attempts to somehow see justice served donā€™t go so well.

Stop At Nothing deals with a mother failing to keep her children safe and stopping at nothing to try and protect them from further harm in future. But consumed by guilt and struggling with insomnia, is Tessa thinking straight or is she becoming paranoid? While her actions are often completely understandable, I did sometimes have the urge to yell at her, to ask her to stop and think.

My suspicious nature rather quickly realised what was going on but I couldnā€™t at all think of why or how it would possibly end. Told through Tessaā€™s eyes, there are some moments when the reader is faced with some chapters written by an unknown character and I had a heck of a time trying to figure out who was writing those or how they even fit into everything.

Tammy Cohenā€™s books always make for compulsive reading, one of those where you look up from the page and hours have gone by. While this may not be my favourite by her, I did thoroughly enjoy it and I absolutely devoured it. This story about a motherā€™s love is gripping, well-paced and pretty cleverly done. I look forward to whatever Tammy Cohen comes up with next.

I received a copy of this book free via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This novel was absolutely riveting. It does not take the path you expect it to AT ALL. It was only in the last quarter that I started having stronger suspicions and putting things together. Honestly, I would LOVE a sequel to this. The second perspective was so menacing and then so... clarifying. It totally threw me.

I can't say too much about this novel without giving away all the twists and turns!

The note I want to end this review on is that the characters were absolutely fantastic. I had mixed feelings about one, not because she was poorly written but because she was so well written - she felt SO real and she was so frustrating! I related so strongly to Em, the way she feels things and internalises, and I adored the side plot with Rosie. I would totally re-read this and I can't wait to see more reviews. Five stars.

As the story builds, you have little niggles about something not being quite right. The final 100 pages were so bloody tense, my heart was racing & my anxiety building in case I got interrupted before I could finish! Tense & fabulous!

Neurotic mother, desperate to atone for past errors, makes for an easy victim here. A gentle nudge, odd comments at the right time and a lot of carefully planned interventions. Before you know it, everyone around her thinks sheā€™s falling apart.
The story begins with a young girl being attacked on her way home. Her mother is powerless and hates the fact that someone has got away with this. When her daughter fails to pick the suspect out of a line-up sheā€™s advised to move on and get on with her life. The mother, unfortunately, canā€™t let it go and starts to tail the person she thinks is responsible. Egged on by Frances, the young woman who helped her daughter that night, our narrator gets more desperate to prove her point.
Lines are blurred left, right and centre. Slowly learning about her past means we come to be suspicious of our narrator and I did wonder quite where this would go.
However, there are sections throughout by a new voice that we gather will be important, and there are enough seeds of doubt sown to keep you waiting to see exactly where the twist will come.
Unfortunately, the main character was not presented sympathetically enough to really get my full support. She did some stupid things, and her reactions didnā€™t always seem to make sense. I donā€™t want to blame the victim, but her behaviour does bring about a fair amount of her troubles.
Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to review this in exchange for my thoughts. It felt predictable, which is a shame as the concept was intriguing.
