The first and last book from the author that I'll read as her style and my taste do not get along. Characters read like high schoolers until their ages are revealed and that adds one layer of ick, the second layer of ick is from parents who are way too involved and invested in the sex lives of their offspring.

Horrible writing. Extremely boring. Had trouble forcing myself to finish it

Honestly it read like a high school fan fiction. Not the greatest read

This was short, sweet and cute. I love the childhood friends to lovers.

Things I love: It's hockey themed and based in Cleveland! Being from Cleveland and a fan of the Blue Jackets and Monsters I jumped on this QUICK. Also, big bonus that there was a player named Shoresy (for fans of Letterkenny)

Draw back: it felt rushed. And I know they've been friends since they were kids but it still felt weird that she was a minor AND he still had sex with her while she was drunk. Just gave ick vibes personally. The sex talk with Scotty was also a little cringe.

I'm happy they finally opened up to each other about having feelings for so long but I kinda wish she was at least a little older.

Fun, quick read

I love really quick reads. This book is a perfect introduction to a novella series. Each book tells one story. Technically they are in a series but it doesn't appear like they have to be read in order although it's likely best if you do simply because of the number of characters that will weave in and out of the stories.
