A enthralling mystery by the master writer James Patrerson and co-author Maxine Paetro that is sure to be interesting for all ages and to keep you guessing at the questions behind all homicides: who killed them and why?

Ugh. Patterson didn't write this book and Maxine, who did write it, is an awful writer. The plot twists weren't spectacular and the ending was blah.

So suspenseful! The short chapters make it easy to fly through. You should suspend some disbelief though since there are some strange plot twists. Otherwise I liked it the mystery had me guessing throughout. When the answer did come though it was different than what I thought. Overall a suspenseful, quick read.

I immediately disliked the main character, who described herself as being not like other girls, and so tiny that she had to wear clothes that could fit eight year old girl
The author consistently used conversations between the characters to give a play-by-play of things that happened in the past. “ Remember when this and this and this happened? Remember how they did this and this?
At one point, the narrator says: “We always talked about how odd it was that we were called twins, when we were really just siblings that grew together in the same womb“
Apparently, the author and editors are confused about the definition of a twin.
The narrator described her first kiss as four shy people meeting and saying hi. that is unbelievably poor writing. I’ve read better things on Wattpad. And of course, let us not forget the moment when the biblical character of Goliath is confused with the biblical character of Sampson, within the first chapter of the book. Where was the editor?
The story swings wildly between absurdity and what I think is meant to be angst. The book can’t decide what it wants to be. The theme says young adult, but the execution is definitely preteen. And one of the things that makes it so juvenile, is the way Tandoori keeps calling out to us, the readers, and appealing to us to be patient with her and to be her true friends.
Gran Gongo, a big chop, minors being charged with obstruction of justice and accused of murder…
And what kind of name is Tandoori? How can you name your main character after an Indian oven and expect people to take your novel as a serious thriller, and not as pulp fiction?
All of this criticism, and I haven’t even begin to express how ridiculous the entire plot was. Every conceivable plot twist was crammed into the book, and none of it made any sense.

It was fine ? I guess ? Struggled to connect with Tandy but I suppose that’s perhaps the point. Also the ending was a bit of a letdown. But I might read more by James Patterson so idk what that says.

This book was so dumb......... thankfully I listened at two times speed so the 6 hours only took 3. Grande Gongo sounds like something that belongs in a Harry Potter novel, not a realistic-fiction mystery. I will never get these hours back. Why, James, why?? Murder House was so much better.
