This book was leagues above its predecessor in quality (in my opinion). The first simply introduces you to the world; this one truly immersed you in the characters' experiences.

The cast and crew outdid themselves on this performance! It was an absolute treat to listen to, emotional and tense and a bit spicy too. Amren is still my favorite and her VA is amazing!

The last time I read so much about males and females and males fighting other males for females I was looking at screenshots from an incel forum.

Ok. There were good parts. In particular, the heist with Amren and Feyre. Amren in general.

Hey. Why did you make me read so many hours of Feyre agonizing over Tamlin. Over leaving him. Over moving on from him. Over being attracted to another person after 2 months. And just when I think there's gonna be some kind of emotional resolution, or she's going to like really deal with her shit, it's revealed that
Feyre and Rhysand are fated mates, and the thing with Tamlin was doomed from the start. NO NEED TO THINK ABOUT THAT ANYMORE! AAAAAUUUGGGHHHHHHHH

Well written, but could have been 1/2-3/4 the length and gotten to the same point. Very creative and fun to read, with some definite turning points. I’m not hooked on the series and honestly preferred the first book more, but I’m willing to keep reading. Just not riveted to my seat.

Promising in the first 100 pages, completely a slog to get through after that. I like Rhys but not nearly enough to actually care about any of this. Court of the summer guy was hot tho, I want a book about him. Feyre fumbled the bag so hard with him, who cares about saving their world 💀

Rhys and Feyre forever!!!

I loved this one even more than the first one. I loveeee a slow burn, I loveeee enemies to lovers, and I loveeeeee the "there's only one bed!" trope. Their relationship is ridiculously hot, and I can't wait to read more (and, I suppose, save the kingdom as well, haha! I did enjoy learning more about the Night Court and overall lore/worldbuilding). Very interested to see what Feyre's plan for Tamlin is.
