“he looked at his friend, perhaps for the last time, and said what he had always known, from the moment they’d met, when he’d understood that the prince was his brother in soul. “i love you”. “

forwarding my therapy bills to sarah j. maas from here on out until the day i die because she deserves it.

literally WHAT? absolutely nothing happened in that book and then like the last thirteen or so chapters were like spiraling down a dark, nasty, deep canyon that you simply had no way out of. i appreciated this book being more of an information dump than anything else because so many questions were answered about literally everything.

ROWAN !!! i am irrevocably in love with this man. not only do i want him for celaena, but also MYSELF? he is SO fine. anyway. i literally knew from the get-go that the two of them would be bonded in that weird power way he mentioned, the c-word right. not to mention, he balances her out perfectly in the sense of their abilities ?? like yes girl. you go sarah. slay queen.

and i was completely convinced that breaking a blood oath simply wasn't possible and that maeve was saying she would do it as a hoax UNTIL HE BOUND HIMSELF TO CELAENA?? KING !!! exactly what my heart needed to make these last few chapters somewhat more bearable.

i know i wouldn't shut the fuck up about how much i adored chaol-- and yea, i still do because i would love for ME to have that brute. not celaena. they are definitely better off as buddies. but when i tell you THIS MAN angered me because he wants to knit pick the people he loves and change them to his liking? nah homie. dorian told your ass. world doesn't work like that, sweet-cheeks.

i also thought that dorian seeking some good pussy from a random healer that wanted her some crowned prince real bad was kind of stupid but her death was so sad :( and so not necessary. AND AEDION BEING CAPTURED KINDA?? noooooo. for some reason i also downright adore his character. i think it's because he's a cocky asshole but also so dedicated and loyal to his loved ones. like all this boy wants is to be reunited with his cousin and see their kingdom rise. he's like a fucking golden retriever, but if they could kill on command.

this book shred me into millions of little shards within like ten minutes and now sarah j. maas and i have major beef. not cool.
