Catching Genesis was simply adorable. It follows a young werewolf, named Genesis, who is about to turn 18 years old. She's also going to finally find out who the hell is her god damn mate too. She can't decide who it might be but she does eye some options that she would like.
Well, her life kind of got flipped upside down once she found out her mate was Logan. He's going to be the alpha of their pack and I absolutely hated the loser. He fucking denied her as his mate. What kind of douche schnozzle shit is that. I was hurt for her because she didn't deserve that just because she was a god damn omega. Fuck this douche and let's get an even hotter looking mate for my girl.
God definitely answered our prayers because here comes Constantine.. I mean CONSTANTFINE. Holy shit batman, their chemistry was intense. I loved it. It didn't matter to me that he was Lycan because that shit wouldn't have mattered to them. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she was turning into a Lycan either. Love is love guys.
Well besides romance, the women in this book and like bat shit crazy. There's Mia and Milan who were like top shit crazy and pretty good villains. Even if everything was predictable. Then there's Logan, who honestly got what he deserved. Didn't even flinch when I read about what happened to him. His dad was a douche too and good riddance to him as well.
Then there's the whole Lycan pack - and I LOVED THEM! Serena and Caspian were hilarious Not much to say on Serena's mate but they were a cute couple. Caspian definitely gave you comedic relief and I could just totally see myself being friends with him.
Overall, I really enjoyed the story that Nicole took me on. I really hope that there is another book because I already miss everyone!

why why why WHY idk what or who compelled me to reread this book all over again but if i hear someone say " cuddly bunny and fuzzy slippers" again i might just do something irrational like turn into a werewolf.

So I’m at 62% and will definitely finish this book, but there is no way I can rate it higher than 2 stars. It was published over a year ago and the numerous grammatical errors and mixing of tenses make this an incredibly difficult and problematic read. I’m a bit baffled that she hasn’t gone back and edited this book or paid someone to edit it.
I love the characters and story and am looking forward to finishing it, but it is incredibly difficult when every error has me pausing and pulls me right out of the story. Kind of a bummer, b/c despite how much I love the story and want to keep reading, unless I know she has hired an editor to fix these things in future books, I’ll be stopping at this one. :/

Good story line but…
The story line was good, would have probably given it a 4-star review, but editing issues made it difficult to read at times. And I felt like some of the plot lines were either forced or just dropped. But it was a fun easy read.

This story was very good and definitely kept me reading, but I just couldn’t bring myself to give it more than 3 stars. It was absolutely riddled with errors and the writing was extremely juvenile. I think if the author were to rewrite this, it could easily be a 5 Star read for me.

Okay, this is my two cents. I did not love this book, but I also did not hate it. This book kept on popping up everywhere and with all the hype around the book I expected a lot more.

love new or not overdone mythology
Jammed packed with drama. Not your typical meet the guy, mated and happily ever after. Also really liked how she kept almost messing it up. So I’m werewolf romances it’s usually a feeling slammed into the MC really aggressive guy, possessive and. Demanding that she listen to the bond even when they are human never given that Time to adjust. But I love that there’s is a chosen bond. Choose to be mates. He waited sooooo long wanted to give her the opportunity for normal fated mates. I love how she was extremely possessive too. I love how it wasn’t about trust. I did enjoy the Chemistry 12/10 but the segg scenes were a bit repetitive by the end.
Overall I would read but probably never reread it.

When I tell you this story was bad, please believe me. I used to LOVE werewolf stories on wattpad and I thought reading some of my favorite books from when I was in high school would help me get out of my slump. I've been in a slump since the MASTERPIECE that was Chain of Gold came out sos.
The writing? Juvenile at best. The plot? Ramblings of an author who didn't bother to proof read their story before self-publishing. Amazon, I want my $2.47 back please.

I've been on a 'were' kick lately. I don't know why, when, or how this pattern began but nevertheless, here I am. I've also just gotten back from seeing Black Panther and it was hella fricking good and I can't really focus on anything else, but here we go.
For the most part, Werewolf stories are basically just your everyday contemporary with a slight add in of the characters turning into animals. That's literally what most Were novels are. You either get the girl who moves to a new town, unaware she is a were and/or the town is full of them. Or, you get the girl who is super laid back and quiet and never seen until the Alpha notices her, usually after the protagonist's 16th or 18th birthday. What is almost always prevalent, is the mean girl troupe. Ugh. Ok. You all know what I'm talking about. This is the girl that for some reason wears heels to school everyday and tries to get into the protagonists way the entire. fricking. book. And, before any of the fans start attacking me for this; I am aware this usually is a good developing tactic for the characters and their relationships with one another but personally, for this book, it felt fairly 'meh'. I didn't really see why Milian would do what she did if she truly was her age. The stuff she did was petty and ugly and it didn't make sense. Also, for the group to keep her for as long as they did was a bit weird to me. Half of them didn't like her and the other half just kept her around to just be like, 'lol you were just here for conflict purposes, peace out'.
So, some character thoughts I had whilst reading. The beginning was very dramatic. VERY dramatic. Genesis turned 18, discovered she was the mate to the Alpha, was then very soon after rejected by said Alpha. Next met her Lycan mate who she had always had a crush on but never spoke too? He also could've spoken to her but decided to wait three years for some reason? I honestly don't know. Apparently I'm Grace Helbig.
I could go on but it's 11 p.m. and I have a three hour German Language class tomorrow in the morning. To sum up, a few too many troupes but still a decent read. 6/10 would recommend.
