This book was really good especially since it is considered to be a middle grade novel. I loved all of the characters including Mr D, except for Luke and Gabe. I loved the portrayal of each Greek God and the characters were very unique compared to similar novels. Annabeth and Grover were the literal best and i love them so much. Annabeth is everything any young girl would aspire to be and i think that is admirable for Rick to do. Percy was a very quick thinking protagonist and didn’t really annoy me that much which is great considering how much other young main characters could do. The only down fall was that i had seen some spoilers and watched some scenes from the movie previous to reading this. So some things were predicted but that still didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

I really don’t know why I didn’t read Percy Jackson earlier but I love it. The story is so unique and different to anything I’ve read, and it was nice to finally have an MC that was closer to my age range (kinda).

Annabeth and Percy are adorable and their probably one of my biggest ships of all time, and the trio is absolutely amazing. I love this book and excited to continue with the Percy Jackson series!
