"We kissed and kissed. Not because we were at Voyeur and this was another lesson to help me accept touch. No, this was because I was Hanna, and he was Daniel, and we wanted to."

I’m so devastated that this fantastic series has to end, but Fiona is ending with an earth shattering bang- because Teacher is the strongest story in the series, and my new favorite. I’m in love with the Voyeur series- a brilliant and impassioned exploration of forbidden and unexpected love, taboos and titillating scenarios that are grounded by emotionally complex and well crafted love stories- stories that are as touching, as tender, as moving as they are salacious. Fiona has set a new standard in the genre- combining old tropes and taboos to forge a niche that is uniquely her own own, a Fiona Cole genre in and of itself. I will miss this brilliant series.

I’ve loved every story, with a special tender spot in my heart for our series starter Voyeur, so it seems poetic that we finally get the mysterious club owner’s story as the denouement of this fantastic series. In Teacher, we finally get to know more about what makes Daniel tick.

But, this story is really Hanna’s- and what a powerful journey of liberation and strength. Hanna is trying to claim her body and intimacy after years in recovery from her experiencing horrific trauma. She wants to reclaim her life- most importantly, her sexuality, and ends up under the tutelage of Daniel- who better than the man who started a sex club?

As we explore Hanna’s sexual recovery, we learn more about Daniel’s history. Not only is he wickedly attracted to the strong, but wounded Hanna, but her cries for help recall in him his own past regrets and pain. As their physical and emotional chemistry deepens,
Fiona brilliantly juxtaposes the horrific traumas that have shaped both Daniel and Hanna’s pasts and each character’s emotional baggage. What transpires is an emotional, complex and surprisingly gentle mutual liberation of two perfectly matched and beautiful souls.

Fiona caringly develops both Daniel and Hanna as characters. They are more than their traumas, more than headlines we’ve seen thus far. Fiona digs deep, and then she digs deeper- we see into each of their hearts and souls as each explores the dark influences that chain them- Hanna’s body, and Daniel’s heart. Daniel was so much more patient, kind, and compassionate that I expected. His sweet heart, his vulnerability was unexpected- his guilt and hesitancy was heartbreaking. And his tender care, the way he nurtured and accepted Hanna- the safety he created for her- was astoundingly beautiful and made me fall madly in love with this man. And Hanna. She is fantastically brave, bold in the face of her fears, strong because she’s vulnerable. She’s charming and witty- adorably awkward at times. I admired and adored her- felt my heart break for her past and present pain, rooted for her progress. Fiona’s care for these characters shines through every carefully laid word. And they are so well suited- like two uniquely interlocking pieces designed just for each other.

And, of course, the steam is top notch. We get Voyeur fun, but we also get plenty of intimate and tender moments, too. Fiona is the pinnacle of explicit romance- every sexual scene is mouth wateringly HOT yet emotive and meaningful. These characters might be tentative when it comes to their romance, but their chemistry is not- it is explosive, SCORCHING- I could literally feel sparks flying off my kindle.

Their path is not easy- hearts hurt, pain is revisited, and emotions soar. But Teacher is the sweetest of the series, in my opinion- the most tender and intimate. This is a story of mutual healing, as Daniel and Hanna both confront the underbelly of the psychological impact of their pasts. In order to reclaim their power, they each must confront the darkest recesses of their hearts, fueled by the strength and comfort of their liberating love for each other.

Since this is our finale, Fiona treats us to snippets of all our prior couples and characters- a delightful bit of fan service that also keeps the plot moving and makes this finale that much more bittersweet. A few of our characters play a pivotal role in helping Hanna and especially Daniel break through their emotional blockades- which just reminds me how much I love each one of them. What a fantastic and unique world she’s created for us in this series! And, what a fittingly epic conclusion we have in Teacher- a story that touched my heart and ingrained itself in my soul. I could not have asked for a better finale!

This one is definitely darker than I thought it was going to be. But I love this series. It's spicy but does bring some character growth and development.

What to expect:
- seggs club
- PTSD/ healing trope
- FWB
- age gap
- two broken main characters

Plot:
Hanna is tired of letting her past trauma dictate her life. She enlists Daniel to help her with her intimacy issues and fears. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement but sparks are FLYING!

I mean this is straight spice, ya'll! lol

TW: suicide, sex trafficking (graphic scenes)

Good story. Daniel did a good job helping Hanna overcome her past as they fell in love.
