I didn't like it mainly due to forced conflicts, the bossy main lead who assumes things too soon and unsupportive family and friends. Assuming it is a romance series not a breakup story, maybe in the next book the two central characters may get back together, I seriously don't want them to end up together. The romance was unnecessarily complicated for the sake of drama and would have been better if it had been a single book with a completed story as there was actually nothing going on there story wise.

The perfect set up

This was everything I didn’t know I needed. Absolutely breathtaking and let’s just say Chase has learned a lot from his dad in the way of winning the girl next door. I am truly heartbroken over that cliff hanger and cannot wait for the next book. I need all of Devany and Chase.

favorite!

One of my favorite reads. I love chase and Devaney! The chemistry between the characters is great. & I LOVE that we get memories from Phillip and Jayden’s story.

It wasn’t bad - probably my least favorite of the series, also hated how it ended but excited for the next book to continue the story.

This was everything I never knew I needed and more from this series. It’s been almost a decade since Jillian Dodd released her ‘That Boy” series. The original books followed JJ, Phillip, and Danny all the way through high school, college, marriage, babies, a divorce, and another wedding. This time we’re getting Deveny Diamond and Chase McKenzie’s book the children of the three best friends. Honestly I am not going to go into detail about this book, and the reason being that I can’t keep it spoiler free when all I want to do is shout it from the rooftops. If you have been following Jillian Dodd’s work from the beginning you already know this lady is an amazing storyteller who continues to blow me away each time. You definitely do not want to miss That Summer so be sure to add it to your TBR lists.
