You don’t go into a book called “boyfriend material” expecting it to be deep and serious and introspective. But it does a great job of starting slow and unserious and building up to the character development. It’s fun, but I did have to take half a star away because my god the office banter was hard to read sometimes, but the rest of it is pretty solid, and incredibly British. This book knows exactly what it is and stay in it’s lane, unlike some very cliché unserious books that try so so hard to give Tumblr quotes in the middle of a dialogue. Lot’s of relatable emotions from our dear characters, an enjoyable read overall. Would re-read for funzies.

Recommended to me, I usually like the fake boyfriend trope, but it really wasn't working for me. I found the characters annoying, the writing okay, and I had hopes for the plot.

I liked the relationship between the main characters but like when the characters weren’t together I was a little bored. but overall it was a nice read :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this! It's super funny and absolutely tragic and completely heartwarming all at the same time. I adore both Luc and Oliver, and want all the best for them. Plus, fake-dating and enemies-to-lovers are two of my favorite romance tropes, so... Add to that the wonderful audiobook narrator, and there's nothing at all wrong with it.

I enjoyed the relationship and banter between Luc and Oliver, and I felt like I was rushing through the rest of the story to get to them. Which is not a good sign. And the dynamics felt very similar too Red, White, and Royal Blue that I pictured those characters sometimes. Very similar story. The ending wrapped up way too quickly, but I appreciate how real it was.
