Interesting premise but ended up falling flat after the first 50 pages. It felt pretty messy, way too long, I didn’t care about a single character (they all felt pretty one-dimensional and underdeveloped), and the ending came out of nowhere with no time to process it and it cheapened the whole book. Also, writing stories about false SA allegations can be pretty harmful and disrespectful unless they’re handled in a nuanced, understanding way - which isn’t the case here as some of the conversations surrounding SA victims made me very uncomfortable. Overall, not a great experience. I should’ve listened when people said not to read this book.

“As a child, he heard pastors speak of the ‘curse of Eve’ but it was the men who were truly doomed, he thought, by nature or nurture or both.”

Not sure how I felt about this one. From the get go, you know it's going to be hard for the author to write a complete story, which way to go, will it be a cliche etc. I felt that the author did a good job of showing the grey and the middle ground reaction and action of the characters. The last chapter was such a random plot twist, not sure how I felt about it

This book was really good. It was so thought-provoking and had me asking myself so many questions. It really makes the reader think about questioning what we see and read on social media and the conclusions we jump to. It really gave me a lot to think about.

Ola and Michael were both really compelling main characters to follow. Neither were perfect and that was what made them so interesting. We see the story from both of their perspectives, how they both handle the situation and the mistakes they make along the way. It was such a page-turning plot, I didn’t want to put it down.
