An ode to lifelong supportive friendships. I love that this particular story focuses on girls growing into women, with many colors, cultures, and orientations represented. The aspects of friendship include mistake-making, but are focused mostly on helping each other through milestones and just being there. Lovely illustrations and concept.

I eagerly await a similarly celebratory friendship story that also incorporates how any gender can supply another.

This was such a gorgeous story of friendship, support, love, and having your people around you. It is so important to be a champion for other people and this has such a lovely message of strength within your peer group. It reminds us that our childhood friends can be for life and no matter how far apart we become, or how long between visits, those special people will be there with us forever.

Beautiful and diverse illustrations give this picture book a little extra beauty.

I'm sure we've covered previously that I am both a crybaby and a sucker for books about friendship.

A punch in the feels that I maybe didn't need on this particular afternoon, but also, I'm running off to order a copy to share with some of my bestie girl friends, my sisters <3

A nice book and sweet message, but children who are typically the picture book readers may not be appreciate it as much as older elementary students.

The story of four best friends as they grow up and become adults.

I love the inclusive drawings. A very sweet story about female friendship and supporting one another.

Leela's husband and Lottie are suspiciously too close on the second last page lol. I like the diversity and the illustration though.

Arrived from Mutha-Hood this morning, and really
think it’ll be a great addition to my ‘Books to Read At Brownies’ list. I’ve started to read to them while they’re working on something, and think this will be perfect for them.
