I don't really know what my problem is because this feels like an amazing book but for some reason I just didn't click with it that much. I did really love the descriptions of food and how Taiye uses it to cope with stress, express love, etc, but overall I just found the book hard to get super into :/

This book has everything! It's magical, weaving, and full of grief and yearning. It's gay, sexy, and deeply invested in sisterhood and family. This book is healing. 10/10 recommend 💫
