I did not really know how to feel for the majority of this book.

The best and most heartbreaking part for me, for sure, was when Armand visited his family. I almost cried. 

Fuck Marius. Also, I think I understand Sybelle & Benji’s function thematically but I didn’t really find them all that interesting among other things. 

And I was so over the fucking Veil, which I guess has thematic significance as well but goddamn was I tired. Yes, I’m talking about Armand and Marius’s conversation at the end which was juiced of its potential by bringing up the fucking Veil again, I’m so sorry.

Had a bit of a hard time going through certain slow sections but I love the world of the vampire chronicles and ate it up anyway.
