Honestly the cutest book I’ve read in a long time. I listened to the audiobook version narrated by Will Watt and Shakira Shute, the elegant British accents added so much to the story and left me with happy feels to go with the cute moment that made me smile.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, and was excited for the second one. It was easy to fall in love with the duke and his daughter from the first book and so I definitely was eager to see him get his HEA. Unlike Emma Hart’s other books that are set in America, these books have been a little slower to start for me or in certain spots in the book. I liked that the characters in this were able to get past their reasons for keeping each arms-length apart pretty easily, and even the final drama was resolved in what felt very realistic and perfect to me.

I loved seeing characters from the first book again in this one. It was very wonderful having Alex’s daughter as a character. She was autistic, but as most people know, it is rare or harder for girls to get that diagnosis and be able to get the help or accommodations they need to be successful quite often. I really enjoyed how the author took that part of the story, as I am a former teacher, there was a lot that was just real and made the story that much better. Adelaide worked perfectly with her. I also have to say I totally get Adelaide’s thoughts/opinions on wanting to work with kids, but being better at the one on one than with a whole group of them.

And oh, the guinea pigs, I am such a big fan of them! I don’t think they get the recognition they need, lol. I loved Alex’s mother’s cats that she snuck in. Another fun story, with a trip to a funfair – which I still trip over that word because I’ve always just heard fair, and I hope that we get Adelaide’s sister’s story next!

Adelaide is a tutor to Alexander’s daughter, Olympia. She is spending the summer living with them while she works with her. Adelaide is crushing on her boss, but also falling for his sweet little girl in the process. Alex is attracted to Adelaide, but she is his daughters tutor and he is too busy on running his family’s estate.

I loved the connection between Adelaide and Alexander from the start. Despite him being her boss and her being his employee they have formed somewhat of a friendship with each other. There is just an easy going feeling about their entire relationship, of course, when the society papers start making assumptions about them it leads them down a different path.

This story was funny, it was sweet, and it had some spice. From start to finish it was just an entertaining story. Plus the secondary characters are all super fun and I can’t wait for Adelaide’s twin sister!

If you’re looking for a single dad, fake dating, rom com this is one to check out.

After enjoying the first book in this series, and falling in love with the duke and his daughter, I couldn't wait to get my hands on his story. Watching Adelaide tutor Alexander's daughter, Olympia, was such a joy. Olympia is autistic and Adelaide is living with them over the summer while she works with her. As she falls in love with the little girl, her crush on her boss grows.

This was such a fun, sweet, slow burn romance. I also enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous book again. If you like single dad, fake dating, with heart, laughter, and a little bit of spice, don't miss out on this one.

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

I love these romances, especially the audiobooks - the narrator has a perfect British voice for both the male and female.

We've seen both these main characters before and I loved them in the other books.

The additive of Autism was amazing - Emma did a great job of writing it into the storyline. Addy and Alex were passionate and full of chemistry. I was rooting for them the whole time

Spicy sex scenes and some swoony romantic moments

a beautiful story
