5 Riveting, Fascinating, Wonderful, Typhus having and Bookshop Rake stars***** LOL. In this beautiful story we have Alexandra the clockmaker and astronomer of the quartet, and how can we have the beautiful, learned but quirky heroine without the rake, the scoundrel and Cave of Carnality hero? Just amazingly written with all the quips and humor only present in Ms. Dare's stories. Oh and how can I forget Rosamund, Daisy and poor Millicent, every day with a malady, Lol.
Loved it for the creativity of it all!!!

Fraught at times to the point of calling a friend to scream about book characters that JUST.ARENT.GETTING.IT.UGH.
But still darling. I could've done with a bit more of the funerals as they were incredibly hilarious and were a special bit of spice that made this book 5 stars.

If you’re looking for a regency read, I highly recommend Tessa Dare’s books. I loved the relationships between the characters, the banter, the wit and the tension.
This is the first book I’ve ever read where there’s a daily funeral for a doll and the creativity for the causes of death made me laugh every time. The girls were hilarious and I loved their passion for the morbid and criminalities. Also, the focus on astronomy, pirates and goats/two-legged dogs was a breath of fresh air.
A lot went on and I enjoyed every moment tbh.

So good to get out of a reading slump
Loved the relationship and the fact that the society is not very involved in it

Didn't love it quite as much as Duchess Deal, mainly because I don't like the trope of "woman with no childcare experience manages to tame kids who nobody else can", and I don't love kids in romance books. But it was sweet and sexy and I liked the comet hunting B-story and cameos from Emma and Ash from book 1
