I appreciate what CoHo is trying to do here, but I don’t think it’s executed well at all. Even the parts that are meant to be romantic and cute are wholly uncomfortable or downright gross.

i originally dnfed this but i came back to it and found that the ending made up for the rest of the book. idk how to describe it i may just not like cohos writing style but it was really boring for the most part and felt dragged out. i didn’t really connect with Lily and i was more interested in the diary entry’s than the present. the ending was very well done though it had me smiling and tearing up.

I really hated reading this. It was so depressing.

Spoiler I most definitely would of dnf'd if it wasn't a bookclub pick purely because I don't really like to read depressing books..
From the beginning, I hated fuckface (this is what I am calling him) because of how selfish all of his actions seemed. When the "romance" began I despised every sex scene because of him, he just put a gross tone on everything. I don't like how much she continued to have contact with him after leaving him (even if I get it because of the child) - it left me feeling really unsatisfied with the outcome.

I also wished we had seen more of Atlas and not wasted all the book on fuckface.
