It'd been a while since I read the first two volumes in this series but there was a nice recap at the beginning and past events are mentioned throughout the story in a way that fitted into the story and also rejogged my memory.

This was another fun, fast paced instalment. While I enjoyed some of the plot points and characterisations in this volume more than in the last, there was a lot of repetitiveness that I hadn't noticed previously, which dulled my enjoyment a bit. This came in the form of over-explanations of the characters' rationale and deductive reasoning, which was not necessary and made it seem like the reader was not clever enough to understand one explanation.

Overall, this was a fast, enjoyable read and I look forward to the next volume.

Seriously this series disturbs me to the highest point. How a young man can be as intelligent as Light and L. I also love to see them question the Kira investigation. This manga ended on a very large plot, I'm looking forward to read more to answer my questions. I'm literally in love with this manga, I'll most likely watch the series later.

SPOILERS PRESENT THROUGHOUT
This is my favorite one so far, I even am giving it a 4.5 stars! I never expected L to reveal himself to Light so early in the series, especially since Light is pretty much suspect #1. I'm also intrigued to see what Light's strategy will be now that he's on the team. And the second Kira was an interesting twist, although I don't know if I like it yet. It felt like it was there to prolong the plot, and I'm not sure if I enjoy that. But I did thoroughly enjoy getting to see L's and Light's brains work side-by-side as they analyze everything!
