well... not really fond of this book... the story and characters are so twilight-ish. however, i like the concept of Ever who's got some "abilities". it's good to know that she can see her sister, too.

I love that my mom got me this book for Christmas, but not in the usual sense. However, this book was terrible. Their was not a clear plot line, character descriptions, etc. I thought that the book lacked maturity. It sounded like a twelve year old had written it.I liked the thought behind the book, but it had some ideas that seemed to be taken from other books. I don't know yet if I will be continuing with Damen and Ever's story. To be continued.......maybe

I remember liking this book when I first read it. The eternal, enduring love story with tall, dark, and handsome. Listening to this story as an adult, it was a trial to get through. I’m still drawn in by the enduring love aspect, but Ever is so childish and annoying, their love story is not very convincing. I felt no chemistry, no attachment to her success and happiness, I just wanted to get to the end. Riley demonstrated greater maturity, and she was supposed to be 12.

The first book in this series (this book) was amazing and was the reason I kept with it, but as the series progressed I started to lose interest in it because it was sticking to the same plot line and was never changing. I mean, get past the main problem and get onto the next already. Amazing author and so very talented, I just wish she would have moved on.

Loved this book. This is the first book I have read by Alyson Noel, and it won't be the last.
