I enjoyed this series a lot. There were some twists and turns that I didn't see coming which made it fun. I also enjoyed the characters, the good ones and bad ones. Loved the lil family crew of the Marigold.
There was one plot point that was really obvious to me and it was stupid to me that the Main Character didn't see it until the very end.
Some of the MC's relationships I found to be really easy and believable - Willa for sure. But I struggled to see her connection with West and then in the end one character ended up being very out of character. I struggled with these a bit but I don't think it ruined my overall enjoyment of the book.

I liked this one better than the first. A good read! Not my favorite, but still good!

What a roller coaster this book was. It certainly surpassed the first book! Where Fable was slow paced, Namesake lived up to the title.

I don’t think I’ve been so stressed reading a book since Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom.

This was a really disappointing follow up. Instead of tying up loose ends & expounding on what happened in book 1, whole new plot points were introduced & it was a convoluted mess in my opinion.

That on its own would have been fine & i’d have dealt with it, but the characters in this one regressed! They mostly annoyed me & all the character work I enjoyed in book 1 was diminished. The love interest.. not sure i’ll ever look at him the same after this one.

Then the ending was way too fast and conveniently wrapped up.

So yeah. That was a bummer.

This was a re-read on audio since I wanted a refresher before reading Drift. I still love this story and I love Saint! I haven’t read these since finishing his book and this makes me want re-read his story again. I love the conflict with West and Fable that she works into this story but keeps them united through it all.
