Tikėjausi geresnių žinių, bet nelabai kažkuo mane ši knyga ir nustebimo, tiesiog aprašė vaikų ligas. Daugybė vaikų ligų ir jokio normalaus paaiškinimo. Daug informacijos, tačiau nenaudingos. Knyga parašyta 1984 metais, todėl man buvo nesuprantama, kodėl tokio senumo knyga leidžiama vis naujai šiais laikais.

DNF: mostly outdated and quite extreme. Many of the medications and things have been replaced since this book has been written. It Has some good info but I feel like it’s too outdated to be super relevant today. I think the idea about weighing risks and benefits for yourself and your kids is wonderful.

This books includes a lot of easy-to-read information for how to deal with most common childhood problems without running to the doctor for every single thing. It's been very helpful for me, so that I don't overreact to simple problems, but also recognize instances that do need assistance.

Perhaps a tad light on what TO do for my children. That said, an absolutely invaluable guide to what NOT to do in order to raise a healthy child. Chapter 19 and 20 alone were worth the price of the book.

Written in 1984 some information is not up to date, but much of his advice is still relevant especially relating to the important role of the parent in observing and assessing the child as well as detailing how a parent can do this. Dr. Mendelsohn was ahead of his time in many ways such as his warnings about overuse of antibiotics and vaccines.
