One comment: the main couple didn't break up in this, the second book of a trilogy. It's a miracle! Good job Amy Plum for defying trilogy norms; I really appreciate it.

I really don't have a whole lot to say about this book. I definitely enjoyed it though. I love Kate and Vincent together and I love all the other characters that play a part as well. Mainly Jules ;). The only thing I hated was that Kate and Vincent were both keeping things from each other and if that wouldn't have happened everything would still be ok.

With that said, this is an awful cliffhanger for me to endure. I have complete faith in Amy in that she will make this into a happy ending of some sort. That is the only thing that keeps me from freaking out about how unhappy I am about it. Waiting for this next book will be killer.

So usually I make sure that I don't start reading a series until all books are released. I have no idea how I got myself into this predicament... Maybe I looked at the publication dates and subconsciously thought I would be fine but it seems that I have read these far too quickly for my own good.
This book is precisely the reason why I don't start reading a series unless I have all the books handy... - I'm THE WORST at cliffhangers. This was by far (and as mentioned in many other reviews) a middle book. It was slow at times and I just wanted the story to get on with it... but I appreciated the world and relationship building throughout.
The ending made me want to break things... and although May 7 isn't far away I'm still wearing my cranky face.
21 Days to go! :(

I am really enjoying this series and true rating would be 4.5 stars.

This series puts a spin on the immortal story by creating the world of the Revenants. This book picks up shortly after the first one ended and continues to revolve around Vincent and Kate. The Numa are still around but have been quiet so it focuses more on the fact that now that they have decided they want to be together, how will it happen. They are trying to find something that will help Vincent fight the urge to die saving someone. Vincent is still the strong, protective guy but Kate won't let him sacrifice everything without her also making an effort to find a solution.

I really like both main characters and even all of the supporting characters make the story more interesting.

There are some underlying things going on in the book that I really want to understand better - namely Jules' interactions with Kate. I feel like there is something going on there. Also, I would love a POV from Vincent on his situation. We see the changes to him and impact of what is going on through Kate's eyes which is great but it would be an interesting view point.

One thing I would state here is that if you don't appreciate cliffhangers, hold out until the next book comes out as this one ends with a pretty good one. I myself will wait (impatiently) for the next installment but recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story that includes romance, mystery and some action.

Until I Die, the sequel for Die For Me, had a lot to live up to. I absolutely loved DFM, noting in particular Kate's character growth.

We get to understand more about the war between the Revenants and the numa--their opposites. Where the revenants live for sacrificing themselves for a human life, numa get bad energy and don't care about human life.

This novel spent a lot of its time fleshing out its romance between Kate and Vincent. While at first it was slightly irritating because it slowed down the plot, by the end you understand exactly why it's necessary. The fleshing out of this romance is what makes the ending so painful and such a horrible cliff hanger.

Kate is stronger here then she was before. She's stronger physically and is handling situations on her own before of the bigger magnitude. Sometimes not for the best, but that's all part of growing and learning from your mistakes.

I said in the review for Die For Me that I wish there was more time with the secondary characters. We do get that here, except it's kind of like a slap in a face once you get to the end. Although some characters are absent (Charlotte and Charles) it does give the other characters opportunities to shine, including Kate's own grandparents.

I really enjoyed Until I Die. I found it to be a balance of light and heavy, with romance and plenty of action. Awesome sequel and I cannot wait for the end!

Loved it more than the first one. The cliffie at the end has now killed me. Ugh. Cannot wait for the next book!

Well, there weren't as many action scenes in this book but it was pretty intense!
I loved that we get to know more about the revenants and their history! It is so curious! I would never imagine that I would be so into romance with zombies. The simple idea seemed incredibly weird to me!
Though, when I read Die For Me I was swept away into the revenants world!
I love Vincent. He's sweet, he's romantic, he's caring and, of course, he's sexy. He is incredibly in love with Kate and we can see that. He puts her before everything else. He hurts for her. Physically.
That alone shows us that all he wants more than everything else in the world is to have her by his side and to love her.
Kate is one of the best heroines I know and that is telling much!
Usually, I have a love-hate relationship with the heroines.
Apart from Clary Morgenstern, Hermione Granger and Meghan Chase, I can't remember any other heroine that I fully understand, support and love!
I strongly feel for Kate and Vincent's desperation over the precariousness of their relationship! It is always heartbreaking when the characters love each other so much but, due to things they can't even control, they can't be truly together or enjoy their relationship as they should be able to, because they're thinking about how it is going to end.
And with this huge cliffhanger of an ending, everything seems so final! :(
But it can't be1 I'm sure Kate will find a way!
So, I'm looking forward to If I Should Die, the next and final book in the Revenants series. :)
I so want to know more about the Champion prophecy! I have a feeling that it has something to do with Kate and not with Vincent. That would be pretty awesome!
