I loved loved loved this book, so much so I read the audiobook and then perused a physical copy. Also you need to get the physical copy, it is gorgeous!
This book provides such interesting and deep insight into the creation of the greatest musical of our time, from before its conception to some of its impact on our culture. It covers part of the story of each of the primary cast members, shedding light on the significance of their participation to the overall production and the message of Hamilton at large. Plus there are so many nuggets giving you layers of depth to the musical that will help you see it in a whole new light and notice so many more details. If you are the kind of person who likes to go deep into what they love and you loved Hamilton, this book is a must. Not only will it be great fun to absorb all this insight, but you will walk away refreshed and inspired to go after that thing you feel called to do non-stop.

Minor: Child death, Cursing, and Racism
If you’ve seen Hamilton, it will be no surprise to you that this book briefly and tastefully addresses the pain and grief of losing a child. It also briefly speaks on racism, sexism and other cultural issues. As we know, Hamilton sought to unite our culture and contribute to the breaking down of many “isms.”cozylifewithabby's review against another edition

If you like Hamilton the Musical this has really interesting background articles and footnotes. Also, I teach this play as the sheer number of literary devices and they way they come together to create character development make it worthwhile. Love it!
