Wow! That is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this book. In my opinion, a good book makes you think and feel. This book did exactly that. I'm not saying I enjoyed every minute of this book as there were times where I felt strongly that I wanted to smack a character or two. I really think the characters were easy to identify with and they certainly made me think. Can I just say Holy Cliffhanger though?! It is a REALLY good thing the other books have been released already because I certainly need to continue with this story!!

raine has been in love with hammer her boss forever but he won't let her in, he's been burned before. she gives him everything and just wants him in return. but when he refuses continuously his friend and fellow Dom Liam steps up hammer has feelings he didn't want to admit he has.
watching this story unfold was amazing the characters made me love and hate them for different reasons, I truly enjoyed every minute of the book

Really well written

I am sometimes skeptic about Dom books it is always a hit or miss for me. Some are too extreme for me that makes me cringe but some I can really say I enjoy. This is one of those that I truly enjoyed. Even though from time to time I want to punch Raines because she can be a bit whiney or stupid but I understand we all do dumb things. This book made want to continue reading and I know they are four books so far. But I would like to know more about one of non major characters and wonder if he will have his own story. (Beck)

I loved this writing duo of Shayla Black and Jenna Jacob. I love their separate works and I had high hopes for this book. The pace a bit slow for me in the beginning but overall the pacing is very enjoyable. I enjoyed the wide range of emotions including guilt, and insecurity. Each was more potent than the next. This is a very well written story that has amazing characters and backstory. I am very excited for the next book!

I have been hearing about this series for about a year and finally decided to start it. Book one is awesome! It is a love triangle at it best, you are not sure who to root for and the angst is so good. I am not normally a fan of series that end in some what of a cliffhanger ( it really is not that bad compared to others) but I can’t wait to see what happens next! If you are looking for a great read with steamy romance, suspense, angst and a amazing love triangle this is you next read! I can’t wait to start the next book!

I wanted so much more!! I guess I have become a snob when it comes to my BDSM & ménage stories. The two Doms just annoyed me with their over the top "mine" claiming. And the Sub or want to be Sub was just over the top annoying!! Then can we talk about the insta-love from part of the arrangement....UUUUUGGGGHH! This story just didn't do it for me!!

This specific video review will be included in the February 2018 Wrap-up.

I was surprised at how engaging this audiobook was. The narrator did a good job with the voices and I never had difficulty differentiating the main character. The emotions were conveyed well and I couldn’t stop until I finished. Warning: This book ends in a cliffhanger.

The main character Raine Kendall has been in love with Macen Hammerman for over six years. He is the boss and a Dom at BDSM club Shadow. He saved her from being homeless and helped pay her way through university. He has been her protector and her champion, encouraging her to build a life for herself after the abuse she lived through as a child. Macen knows that Raine has a crush on him but Macen is unsure whether Raine’s “crush” is gratitude and hero-worship or if it’s genuine attraction. Either way, Macen is determined that he will not allow anything to develop with Raine as he believes she deserves someone better than him.

When his friend Liam O’Neill comes by the visit, he is taken with Raine. The Dom in Liam sees a submissive that is waiting to be trained. When Macen refused to accept Raine as his submissive, Liam decides to ask Raine and she accepts. Once Liam becomes Raine’s Dom, Macen realizes that he really loves Raine and seeing her with Liam is much harder than he thought. Macen is unsure of what to do, but he knows he can’t let Liam have Raine after all. Who will Raine chose?

If you are expecting all sex and little plot, you will be surprised. The author actually gave the characters some depth. Initially I thought Raine was immature and impulsive, but as the book progressed I saw that she was actually patient and caring and loyal. The two men have history and everything isn’t black and white. I applaud the authors because I found it hard to decide which Dom she should end up with. I actually wished I had book 2 because I would have dived right into it immediately.

*Special Thanks to Tantor Media for the advance book (audiobook).

What a fun read this was!

Raine has been living at the BDSM club that Hammer owns. He's been taking care of her and watching over her since Hammer found Raine on the streets as a teenager after she left her abusive dads house.

Raine is happier than ever taking care of everyone at the club, as well as crushing on the owner, Hammer. She wants to be able to participate in scenes and be with Hammer, but he won't give her the time of day. But anything else that can walk, he bangs.

In walks Liam, Hammer's best bud. Liam notices how Raine is around Hammer and gives her what she wants. He agrees to train Raine! Super sexy and hot Irishman teaching her the ropes of a D/s relationship...what could go wrong!? Hammer's jealously, that's what!

Some seriously hot and sizzling scenes at the club!

Once Raine realizes Hammers jealous of Liam, she tries to take the situation into her own hands by "seducing" him regardless of wearing Liam training collar. Probably one of the best scenes I've read in a long time.

Liam tries to take Raine out of the club scenery but not only does Raine not handle it well, Hammer goes off the deep end. Possessive isn't even the correct term for him.

Liam and Raine both develop feelings for one another even though Raine still is in love with Hammer. Needless to say, there's some words exchanged with Liam and Hammer.

Great sex scenes, story just a bit too drawn out.
