I could not put this book down. Story of mother-daughter relationship and it's breakdown. Loved the two-sided aspect of this story. Would not have been the same without seeing both perspectives.

Sad and promising look into a mother and daughter's fight with addiction.

I liked it because I could relate to it. Very intense but I lived through the very same hell with my daughter and now, at 27, I can only love her, be an example and pray that she will "come back".

Hard to read in light of what we know now by these centers

I was really into this book for about 3/4 of the way into it, and then I found myself not wanting to pick it up as much. The rehab place they sent her kinda creeped me out!

An interesting read but I do agree some of the mother’s writing comes off very privileged to me and I found myself rolling my eyes.

A raw story of abuse, love, and survival - told through the eyes of both mother and daughter.

The best part of this book was that it was written from both the mother and the daughters point of view. The mother has to go through the agony of not knowing what will happen with her daughter and at the same time you see the impact that abuse and drugs had on Mia to make her take the paths that she did. It is a great book though with touchy subjects.
