I'm a little surprised at how quickly this has become a favorite series for me. It is more a hybrid between a cozy mystery and romance (at least in my opinion) because the romance and mysteries are both prominent in each story. I like Molly's character and it felt like she is becoming more comfortable and settled in this book. She has surrounded herself with a really good set of friends and her romance with Sam is progressing well. She is a bit impetuous and that can get her into some serious situations some times. I like how Sam recognizes that she gets herself into these situations because she has a really good heart. He doesn't want to change her, he just wants her to recognize that she has a lot of people who care for her and worry about her. The mystery was well done. There were plenty of suspects to choose from and I thought the author did a good job of giving them each a plausible motive for murder. While the killer was not a total surprise, this person also wasn't at the top of my list either. I really enjoyed this book and have enjoyed the series to date.

I voluntarily read a digital ARC provided to me by the publisher through Netgalley.

I really enjoyed my visit to Britton Bay in the latest installment in the series. Molly, Sam and the gang have helped land this series on my favorites list and the mysteries have sealed it's place. This new mystery was a fun one involving a car show and multiple suspects. A solid cozy that made for an entertaining read. Can't wait for the next adventure!

Britton Bay has that small shore town vibe that we all fall in love with in our cozy books and television shows. It actually has a strong Hallmark town feel to it. The protagonist, Molly Owens, had a rough start in book 1. Not only was she new in the small town, she helped solve a murder.
Settling in to her new life, slower paced reporting, small town, and budding romance; everything is just like it should be for Molly.... but for how long?

In this, the third installment, A Car Show, headed up by Sam, comes to Britton Bay. Along with the show comes a lot of drama. When one of the car owners turns up dead, everyone involved is a suspect. With Molly and Sam's relationship heating up, so are her investigating skills. Will Molly be able to unravel the case before she becomes the nest victim?

I also love that is there is a human interest story in the middle of this as well. These books are very quick reads, suspenseful, and fun. I highly recommend this series.

This series had so much potential but it’s drowning in ultra-soppy romance. Character development and non-romantic relationships are afterthoughts in this novel. Sam’s possessiveness and Molly’s long descriptions of her deep love for Sam ruin what could have been a good cozy.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for this review.
