Affectionate and amusing account of how Mark and his 17- year old son tackled a segment of the Pennine Way together. Some stretches familiar to me, as my husband and I have walked them.

I bought this book as my dad keeps hinting that he wants to walk the Pennine Way. Maybe one day we will. The book was pleasant enough. Easy to read, human, funny and made it all seem possible.

I really enjoyed this book. It had some great laugh out loud moments in it and I'd recommend it. However I'd read the 25 short stories from the same author first and there is a lot of duplication between the two books which was annoying. I would have given this book 4* for the laugh out loud bits and the interaction between him and his son but gave it my default of 3.
