they brought the lesbians in way earlier then i was expecting and i am very happy for that.
however, telling people you know you're a bitch does not absolve you from being a bitch
I am also torn between criticizing the way Evelyn is portrayed as someone who is indeed very difficult to understand, and we see that she is indeed not a wholly good person, but we are also very much encouraged to absolve her of her crimes, manipulation, and legit tom fuckery.
Overall i think evelyn got the life she wanted to live, one where she loved fame more then anything else, I think it is telling that the point in which she chooses to abscond from acting and run away, her reasoning is not "i love you and would change my decision in a heart beat" it is "i am famous enough now and have enough money i do not care"
I think even in her final moments, writing her memoirs, she would not have ever told the truth unless it also suited her. And thats just who she is, but i do not enjoy the attempts to show a woman who is highly manipulative and leans towards being a morally grey person to ultimately be redeemed in the end by the author through forgiveness. you might forgive her, but i dont. that shit is fucked up not ever the BIG OLE TWIST part, her thought patterns and how she treats people does not say to me "i value the individual"
bro if i was monique i would have fucking walked away - she if she gives me that letter then motherfucker
anyway -- i mean highly enjoyable and loved how it was laid out with each section being a husband. made it seem realistic how one woman could have seven husbands and glad she finally got her oscar
also evelyn girl its just biphobia its not u
