Listen, it's a YA sequel! You know what that means: you must suspend your disbelief and ask no follow up questions. Well versed in this practice, I was able to enjoy this book as a guilty pleasure; a wonderful escape from my world into another.

It's like watching a popular YA dystopian movie...while not a masterpiece, I enjoyed it and want to read the third book. Would not be eager to add to a classroom library though--bit too much gore

This book was really good, I just don't remember much of what happened. I think I liked the first one a bit more than this one. Its nothing against it, I just remember the other one more.
I did like the conversations between Dee and Becca, I would have loved more interactions between them because they have a lot of tea between them.
I do remember that the ending was shocking. And that there was a competition that went dark real fast.
Either way, this book was good. I do recommend MurderTrending.

One-sentence summary: The daughter of Molly Mauler has to attend a television show auditioning concerning the next round of the Painiacs: The Next Generation.
#Murderfunding lost some of the fun of the first and replaced it instead with relationship drama, as well as some cameos from first-book characters that ended up not doing much. This book isn't about the Painiacs much and focuses on the weak points from the first book.
