If you leave a door half open, soon you’ll hear the whispers spoken.
If you play outside alone, soon you won’t be going home.
If your window’s left unlatched, you’ll hear him tapping at the glass.
If you’re lonely, sad, and blue, the Whisper Man will come for you.

I was really looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint. North delivered a book with just the right amount of make-you-shiver moments.

After the sudden death of his wife Tom Kennedy attempts a new start with his son Jake. Their new town however holds dark secrets of its own in the form of a serial killer-The Whisper Man. Twenty years later a child is abducted and killed in a similar way in spite of the Whisper Man being in jail. Copy Cat or is there a deeper link?

The progression of the story was almost flawless (down to the very last line!).I found it to be just the right length with great characters.

A must read.

Aka, the book about daddy issues... y’all I actually really enjoyed this book. It was twisty, it was weird, it was creepy, it was sad. I read it all today cause I couldn’t put the damn thing down. Can not wait to discus this with some friends at the end of the month for one of my book clubs. #TheWhisperMan
