This contains lots of spoilers for "Harrow the Ninth" in particular, so I wouldn't recommend reading this before that.
This was pulled from Judith's journal log regarding the Blood of Eden's activities and we get to see a whole bunch of characters we haven't seen since the first book. It was really sad and hard to read at times, but fills in a bunch of gaps from Harrow and gives more context to some things, so definitely not one to miss.
Heed the content warnings.

OUCH JUDITH!!!!!! God I never would’ve known the depth of this girl before reading this, of her behaviour and her childhood and dynamics with those around her. I feel sorry for absolutely every character in this. Everyone’s so young, and Judith seems to be the only one really not okay with being in this situation,
being criticised for yet simultaneously used for her necromantic abilities.
My heart absolutely breaks for her.
We have yet another traumatised lesbian who grew up too quick :(

Also MERCYMORN OH MY GOD. The comment in Harrow about her having seen Gideon’s corpse but not thinking to check the eyes makes sense so much now that we know she visited Blood of Eden! Her role in this is so confusing and intriguing  oh my god wow

A little slow but it also helps flesh out the rest of the Locked Tomb universe and maybe (hopefully) foreshadow some things for the later books

This was interesting to read and definitely gave me more of an insight to what exactly happened in Harrow the Ninth. It also made me have a bunch more questions.
I feel like Judith is a character that wasn't really explored before in the series so it was cool to learn a bit more about her history and thoughts.
The most confused I am by the Blood of Eden.. I really hope Nona will answer at least some of my questions. :)

All in all I liked these Excerpts and the only reason I didn't rate them higher is how short it is. I feel like the whole appeal of Tamsyn Muir books is the intriguing plot over a whole book and also the characters. We only got one of those in this 'book'.
