This book does an amazing job of showing what it is really like to be deep in a fandom, with the fanfics and ships that we all want to be cannon. It shows how once a piece of art/entertainment has been given to the fans it is theirs now, no take-backsies. It also delves into representation and how hard it is to be yourself when you never see anyone like you on TV and in movies.
