I loved Harlow and Bridger's story!

This was a sexy and steamy forbidden, dad's best friend, age gap, office romance between 21 yr old Harlow and her dad's company partner, Bridger. I would say that this is perfect for fans of The Mile High series..same New York setting, rich and handsome men, and a smart and sassy heroine!

Harlow is a good girl with a huge crush on her dad's business partner. She is determined to get his attention and get him in bed--but of course, the romance develops and it turns into much more.

It is a fairly slow burn as Bridger really fights his feelings for a while before taking the dive, but the tensioooon that builds up in the process is perfection!! There are so many swoony moments that just make you blush and kick like a school girl lol.

Harlow is a virgin, but it's not really a huge focus in the story, she doesn't really have any huge reason other than she hasn't wanted to yet, until Bridger..she sees him and just knows he's the one she wants.

I can't wait to read book 2 because I've heard great things..and if this is any indication, I'm expecting another 5 stars!

Dnf for me. Just wasn’t keeping me interested. And that’s okay! Some books just aren’t for everyone.

** Audiobook read by Vanessa Edwin and Joe Arden **

This is my first Lauren Blakey book, and I have to say I am a new fan. I really enjoyed this sweet story that had just the right amount of spice.

The characters were well flushed out and their unique corner of their world was well done. I would have liked to see more resolution between Bridger and Ian, but that’s okay. I really enjoyed the story.

The narrators were incredible. Highly recommend.

Lauren Blakely's got a new series, and while the prequel novella closed out the year and left readers anticipating what lay ahead for the main characters, the full-length novel delivered a forbidden romance that was worth waiting for. The Crush was a free novella that introduces readers to Harlow Dumont Granger and Bridger James. She's twenty and tackling a double major in college; he's thirty and co-owns a television production company with Harlow's father. It's in this prequel where we begin to see not just Harlow's crush on this man who is ten years her senior and someone who works with her only living parent, but also glimpse into her dysfunctional relationship with her father. For any reader who didn't have the opportunity to grab the novella while it was available, it IS included in the actual novel, so no worries on that end, and make sure to read it first.

While The Crush highlights the initial stirrings of Harlow's infatuation, The RSVP is where we see Harlow gain the courage to pursue her feelings, Bridger try to deny his fast growing attraction, and both figuring out what happens should they act on it all. Theirs was a slow burn romance, and readers have a front row seat to them developing a friendship of sorts alongside the flirtation and banter. I loved the growth, not only in terms of the main characters, but their relationship as well. It felt organic to me, flourishing over time. Yes, there was a ten-year age difference between Harlow and Bridger, but the former had a maturity to her that made her more of a peer to the latter than even her own father who was Bridger's business partner. These two simply meshed so darn well together, and rooting for their happily-ever-after was an inevitability for me.

Aside from the romance, another point of interest was Harlow's relationship with her father. Sure, he adored her, but he also didn't seem to realize that she was a fully functional adult who not only learned to survive after her beloved mother passed away, but she thrived through everything that came her way. I wasn't a huge fan of Ian Granger's, whether as a father or a husband, although less so when it came to being a parent than a spouse, but kudos to Harlow and Bridger for handling things without a whole lot of drama. All in all, Lauren Blakely has served up a romance with a tad more angst than can often be found in her romantic comedies, and The RSVP has turned out to be a great beginning to her new The Virgin Society series. I'm already looking forward to books for Layla and Ethan, plus Hunter in Limited Edition Husband. 4.5 stars for The RSVP.

Harlow is the daughter of Bridgers business partner. She’s smart, driven, and knows what she wants.. and she knows what she wants, and he might be surprised.. she decides to go for it, and to do what she has to do to gain what she wants. There are things that happen that make her feel guilty and that make her wonder… when she realizes what he would have to risk to have what she wanted.

Bridger knows what an amazing person Harlow is, and the more he gets to know her, he realizes what she is worth.. but also knows what he would be sacrificing…and what she would be sacrificing.

Two people who seem very different, but who have the same soul so it seems. However, to be together could mean giving up everything he’s worked for all of his life, and for her she could lose her family. Can two people who love each other regardless of the hurdles they face? Does the love that they find over-rule all of the obstacles they face? That’s the best part of this whole story…

I hope that you’re ready for this, because, once you start it, you won’t want to stop until you’re done.. and even then, you’ll want more.

I am a true Lauren Blakely fan, and will read every word that is written by this amazing author. I am blessed to be a part of her fan base. I have read her work for many years, and each one I read, I like more and more. Her storylines are detailed and deep, and her writing style.. draws me into each story and makes me a part of every story line. I love reading about these characters, and I love how the characters over-lap each other.

It kinda started wigging me out, like I just knew a bad thing was going to happen that could've been avoided etc
