Tropes: Small Town Romance, One Night Stand, Secret Baby, Single Mom

TW: Child neglect, Unplanned Pregnancy (off-page), Physical assault, Poverty, Stalking

Thea had a one-night stand when she lived and worked at a bar in New York. She ended up getting pregnant, and moves to Montana to raise her daughter, Charlie. When she had the one-night stand, she never got any information besides his first name: Logan. Life is good for the five years that Thea is in Montana, until she comes face to face with Logan once again.

You know how a lot of books with the secret baby trope usually take half of the book for the hero to find out that he is a dad? Well, this book doesn't do that, and I LOVE IT. I loved how Logan knew right from the start when he saw Thea. I honestly loved that his main focus was to try and have a relationship with his daughter. Majority of this book was about Logan getting to know his daughter and falling in love with the mother of his child. These two had so many hurdles to get over. With him living in New York, and her living in Montana they both knew it was going to be hard, and they had to do what was best for Charlie. The romance was heavy with sweet and steamy moments. The story overall was amazing. Not only did the author write a great romance, but she made it emotional with a little bit of suspense mixed into it! I finished this book in one sitting, and I immediately started the next book!

This was absolutely perfect! I love how emotional and creative this authors books are.  The way Thea is such a good mom! The way she knows her child in and out and always validates her feelings and thoughts. I also love the way Logan is such a good dad. He was devoted from the moment he wrapped his head around the fact that he had a daughter. Their story is so beautiful and wholesome. In fact I didnโ€™t even get annoyed with the pregnancy at the end lol. I canโ€™t wait to read the other books in this series.

Logan walked into Theaโ€™s NYC bar six years ago, they had a one-night-stand, and she ended up pregnant. Unfortunately, she didnโ€™t have any of his info, not even his last name, so she had no way to track him down. Then, fate led him to walk into her new bar in Lark Cove, Montana, and there is no mistaking that Charlie is his kid.

Ok, so my favorite parts of this book were 100% Logan bonding with his newly discovered 6-year-old daughter, Charlie. She doesnโ€™t open up easily, and it was so cute watching him stumble along while getting to know her.

The love story was also very sweet. They knew they had chemistry way back when, and that chemistry is still undeniably there.

The โ€œsuspenseโ€ part seemed a little out of place, like it was just added on to add a bit more drama, but overall this was a cute and cozy small town romance read, with some single parent/secret baby-ness, that I thought was done well.

Audiobook notes: I loved both narrators. Aaron Shedlock and Maxine Mitchell make a great team!

What this book is giving:
โœ… Small Town Romance
โœ… Dual POV
โœ… Secret Baby
โœ… Bartender
โœ… Philanthropist
โœ… 6 year old girl

Thea and Logan had one single night together yearssss ago, but when she found out she was pregnant she was unable to track him down due to not knowing his last name. So she moves, alone and pregnant, from big bag New York to a quaint town in Montana. So imagine her surprise when her one-night stand turned baby daddy pops up in her town almost six years later for completely unrelated reasons.

Tattered is the first book in the new Lark Cove Series (adult contemporary romance). The main setting for this story is Lark Cove, Montana.

Thea and Logan! I love a good secret baby romance, and this one didn't disappoint.

This was an endearing story about second chances, falling in love, and finding your happiness. I absolutely enjoyed reading it and meeting these wonderful characters.
