Hot, hot and hot. Sex, bondage and murder. I really enjoyed this for a multitude of reasons. It was like an extremely dirty version of a criminal minds episode, delving into the mind of a serial killer and I really enjoyed that aspect of it. I found myself shipping Quinn and Sadie at various points throughout which is probably due to the love-hate relationship they've got going on. He's the nice, safe, respectable option for her. On the other end of the scale is Colton Reed, a super hot shibari master. Their shared moments together were crazy intense, sexy and emotional. He's working towards making Sadie feel empowered within her body and with her sexuality and to not feel ashamed and trapped by the painful travesty of her past.

I started With Visions Of Red with lower expectations knowing this was Trishas start to psychological thrillers, the writing wasn't as good as her recent works but, I loved getting to see where she started and it definitely still had some great twists! I didn't see the ending happening at all and I'm so excited to start with ties that bind! Sadie is a criminal profiler by day and a freak in the sheets by night... her and Colton were such a fun couple, and this definitely felt similar to a criminal minds episode but, combined with a bit of 50 shades kink! Overall, I'd rate this about 3.5 stars, while it kept me hooked I just didn't connect with the characters as well as I did in her other novels.

love the cover!

This was an interesting part one. Shibari seems to be a perfect way to effect characters dealing with a serial killer. Tied and tortured seems to be two halves of the same coin in this book. Four stars for an interesting start.

Wow. This book blew me away.

The serious mind fuck that I got from reading this novel was intense. I didn’t want to enjoy reading the gruesome things that happened, but I did. Sadie's past was so well reflected in her life and her demand for bondage, and I liked how unlike most tacky criminal love books, Collin wasn't the murderer. I must say I have gained a deeper appreciation for medieval criminals reading this book and cannot wait to read the sequel!
