This starts out heavy and dark. I like that there's an element of romance but also true crime/mystery. I'll definitely be diving into book 2 soon to see what else is revealed about each of the characters.

The plot is not groundbreaking innovative and didn’t get me emotional attached but it also didn’t bore me. Since it’s a series, I‘m okay with that and count that as a typical start before things take off.
