This installment was all ebb and flow in term of plot.
Overall an interesting premise but sometimes the dialogue or description lost it's coherence and went off on a tangent, it felt.
I enjoyed the Hester, Jonesy start and where it led to Wellesey.
I thought I knew who the traitor was and I was pleased to be wrong on that.
Bran was background annoying.
Charles and Anna were a bit meh in this one for me.

So here's the thing with this series.. I do NOT care at all about the storyline.. like seriously at all. All I care about is Charles and Anna. So while the storyline in this book was kind of super boring, I just didn't care! Because CHARLES AND ANNA are perfection. I mean seriously perfect. It's no secret that most of my book boyfriends are usually the "anti hero" type but Charles. gaaaawd I love him. I just want to brush and braid his hair.. naked .

So 4 stars for Charles and Anna!!!! I have no idea what the book was about! kidding.. totally

I love these series so much. This world is described so eloquently. I live Charles and Anna’s relationship and the I’m glad we got to know more about the pack in this book. I hope there is another book coming sometime soon!

Sigh....I loved it. I just wished for something different. Let's face it, everyone loves this series but I'm ready for some magnetism with the characters. With Mercy it stretched out with the feud between Adam and Mercy, here between Charles and Anna. As the series goes on I feel like the story is still there but the attraction between the characters is dying a horrible death. We get a great story, witches looking for an object to control werewolves is an amazing story but the characters are slowly dying to me. Makes me not want to pay 20$ for the book. Call me cynical.
