If I ever choose to read a romance novel, I usually go for the super heavy cheesy and sappy romance. But my friend gave me this book as a gift so I had to give it a chance.

I found that the writing really flowed however towards the end there were some parts that were a bit choppy and didn't go super nicely together.

At first, I didn't think that I was going to really enjoy this book but as I kept reading I started liking it more and more. At Chapter 22, I had to take a break and stop reading because I just knew what was going to happen. I read the last bit of the book with a heavy heart. I like to rate books based on their ability to make me feel things, and this book made me feel a lot.

I thought that I knew what direction the book was going but I was wrong. The ending had a turn, but then it did become predictable again. I still enjoyed it though, I thought it was super heartfelt.

OMG! Books should have trigger warnings! I was taken by surprise, my poor heart.

Spoiler
TW: Major Character Death
TW: Kinda of Unhappy Ever After

Dawson and Amanda's love story was always so pretty, ever since the beginning. Their love was so strong. Not even time and distance stopped it...
I'm so sad that they never got a chance as adults to truly love each other... so unfair.
OMG! And Tuck and Clara, I want a book with only their love story! I need it!
I can only hope that they welcomed Dawson with open arms once they meet again in heaven.

And I hope in another life, Dawson and Amanda have a even better love, where the best of them is their whole selves.

Oh! And that ending! It was his fucking heart (AND I'M CRYING AGAIN) Dawson saved Amanda's son <3 He saved Jared.
I can only imagine what would happen to that family if the heart hadn't arrived in time...

So pretty <3

Beautiful start, kinda slow in the middle, and very chaotic, emotional ending.
Overall a lovely book.
