These books just keep getting better and better. I love Alex and aiden. And omg more and more gods keep popping up! This one has so much emotion in it. And what the heck is going on with seth at the end??? I feel like something is changing with him but we don’t really get much to go on…I need more but I also don’t want it to end!

I am absolutely loving this series & I’m really sad the series is coming to an end. I know it continues with the Titan series so I’m super excited! This book was full of adventure, love, happiness & of course tears. Such a great book!

“Daggers. Never leave home without them.”

After the events in Diety we find that both things Alex has feared have come to pass. Not only was she put on the Elixir but she lost herself in her Awakening to the First, her Seth. Her will is not her own...but ... enter Aiden St Delphi, Alex’s love, and the one person who could possibly help Alex bring her back to herself. He has never given up on her and has no intention of ever doing so.

Thousands of people, half-bloods, pure bloods, and humans alike, have been killed and entire cities have been destroyed while Alex was out to stop Alex from connecting to Seth.... to keep him from becoming the God-Killer. Alex may not be able to be killed by the gods but that doesn’t stop them from coming after her still. There may also be one person who could have information that would help Alex find a way to stop Seth...but they reside in the Underworld.

Alex and Aiden find themselves in the Underworld in search of the only person that could help and then have to find a way back out again.

So....let me start this by making sure everyone knows that I, in fact, still love Seth. He may be team bad guy right now but I have hope for redemption. That being said, Alex and Aiden are relationship goals. They are completely perfect together are completely in love. Also, I’d let Dean Andros call me to his office any day (tell me I’m not the only one here).

The way JLA writes continues to bring you into her different worlds and you can really associate with her characters...and you learn important lessons...like never leaving home without pointy objects.

One thing, and I get why, that I didn’t really enjoy was the fact that there wasn’t much Seth in this book. Sure him and Alex had conversations through the connection they share but since he is my favorite character I will always want more Seth.

Some of the “plot twists” were predictable... like the god responsible for Seth ...but it didn’t make it any less impactful. Not to mention it gave us a chance to see more Apollo and gave Alex to find some semblance of peace from one of the loved ones she lost in a previous book.

Up next: Sentinel... but am I really ready for this journey to end... thank gods there is The Titan series full of Seth to read after.

Enjoying the story, glad Aiden and Alex decided to just go all in instead of dragging out their back and forth

I am growing to love Alex.
She is such a strong woman!

Her growth as a character is great! All the characters you can see are growing and it’s what makes this series amazing.

This wasn't my favorite of this series, probably because I read it really slowly due to a busy time... But it's still amazing (DUH It's a Jennifer L. Armentrout novel)! Now I'm on to the next and final book in the Covenant series... I don't want to say goodbye to Alex, Aiden and the gang! :(
