lovely collection of poetry about the author’s mother who has Alzheimer’s and the progression of the disease. working within the Alzheimer’s population, I knew this would probably be an impactful read and it definitely was. lots of raw emotion and really beautiful. I don’t think this is as accessible/easy to read poetry as others I typically read, so I would recommend to people who enjoy poetry and read it a bit more frequently.

I'm not a poetry person, so I can't judge based on how "good" the poetry is, only what I got from it. I was drawn in by the language of the first few poems, and a few of the last ones. Really poignant. The majority of the middle part of the work did not stand out to me; it wasn't bad, but I found the words too vague and obtuse to get any particular feeling from them. This is definitely something I will have to read again to understand it better.
