After reading this book, I have decided to space them out when I read them. They are wrecking my emotions. I cried for about 20 minutes on a couple pages alone. I don't usually get emotional when reading but this series really is putting my tear ducts to work.

This couple had been through so much and I was rooting for them the whole time!

miss cherry does it again!! the emotion, the angst , the drama - no one does it better. her writing is just unmatched. once again, she had me crying during multiple scenes because of passion and love that alyssa and logan had for each other was electric. she brought the trauma and devastation with it too. there were so many moments that i literally held my breath and had to pause reading to fully process what was happening. the friendship they had was pure and genuine and they were true soulmates. this book was heartbreaking, gut wrenching, beautiful, and EVERYTHING.

I liked this one better than the first one! (And yes I know they are standalone books)

There were moments that I liked this book and felt the pain of the characters. But there were also so many moments that were frustrating and repetitive.

Overall, I felt like Logan was an ass and didn’t deserve Alyssa. Alyssa was a doormat and I wanted to see her stand her ground and showcase her strength and worth.

I absolutely think we need to showcase patience and kindness to those with addiction. I also think there needs to be accountability, and this book lacked that for me. Logan disappears after horrible acts and then comes back only to treat her poorly, yeah no.

I really wanted to love this book but unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I have read 2 other books by this author and loved them so I had very high hopes for this one. I just never really connected with either Alyssa or Logan and didn't feel their connection. The friendship was more believable than the romance but all the side drama took away from their story. It's almost like there was too much going on for me to enjoy the real story. And the constant contradicting thoughts became a bit annoying.

1/5 stars. DNF'd at 50%.

I couldn't connect with the love story at all, or even just to the story. The love story was too rushed, there was no build-up. The author tried to make it seem deeper than it really was. I didn't feel the chemestry at all. The dialogues between the love interests are cringey and cheesy, it felt really juvenile. How many times did the male protagonist called the girl "My greatest high", please stop being corny.

The two main protagonists aren't even likeable. The guy is a jerk and a whiner. The girl is his doormat and enabler and is super naive. She always forgives him way too easily... The only character I liked was Alyssa's mom.
