I was in Paris. Big publicity on the walls. I could not resist. Of course A&O strictly in French. Memories of my childhood in... Paris!
Still reading, more review later.

As a reader of Asterix since I was a young boy, I had to read the latest story in the collection. By no means the most amusing or well-structured of the beloved Gaulish series, ‘Asterix and the Griffon’ is a funny and well-produced piece; the art by Conrad is especially sharp in this story. My only minor complaint are some of the characters’ names; as a series that has become famed for its brilliantly imaginative names, I was surprised to find some of these names a bit stretched or difficult to break down. This being said, it is a good addition to the series and explores some modern topics in a clever and tasteful way (such as the Roman soldier Fakenius - ‘fake news’ - and the puns on the Amazonian warriors - e.g. Amazon delivery and package).
